Cotsen Players to perform 'Sir Gawain,' March 26-28

The Cotsen Players, a Princeton student performance company, will stage "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" Friday through Sunday, March 26-28, at the Cotsen Children's Library. Performance times are 7 p.m. March 26, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. March 27 and 1 p.m. March 28.
The play, a medieval romance adapted by Dennis Scott from the late 14th-century poem about a knight in the court of King Arthur, is geared to children age 7 and older, as well as adults. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.
"Sir Gawain" is directed by Felice Kuan and produced by Michelle Sharpe, both seniors. A cast of nine actors will perform 13 roles.
The production is co-sponsored by the Cotsen Children's Library and the University Art Museum in conjunction with the art museum's spring exhibition of "The Book of Kings: Art, War and the Morgan Library's Medieval Picture Bible." The library also is hosting interactive displays and programs for children related to the museum exhibition through June 6, when "The Book of Kings" closes.
