Voter registration information available

Princeton University is providing voter registration information to undergraduate and graduate students in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 2 national election.
This is in compliance with federal law, which mandates that all colleges and universities in the country make voter registration forms available to all students attending their institutions who are eligible to vote. The information also is being offered to other members of the University community.
New Jersey voter registration forms are available in these campus locations:
- Housing office, MacMillan Building;
- Office of the Registrar, West College;
- Welcome Desk, Frist Campus Center;
- Pace Center, Frist Campus Center;
- Center for Jewish Life, 70 Washington Road;
- Fields Center, 86 Olden St.
- Dillon Gym;
- Undergraduate college offices;
- Eating clubs; and
Graduate School office, Nassau Hall.
Additionally, Princeton Votes 2004, a bipartisan effort to promote political participation, will continue to host voter registration drives on campus at various locations.
New Jersey voter registration and absentee ballot information and forms also are available online at www.state.nj.us/lps/elections under "most requested links." Completed voter registration forms must be received by the New Jersey Division of Elections no later than Oct. 4. Absentee ballot applications sent by mail must be received by Oct. 26.
Students who are not from New Jersey may register to vote in New Jersey or in their home state. National voter registration and absentee ballot information is available on the Web at www.naicu.edu under the "register to vote" icon at the bottom of the page. At the site, students can fill out a voter registration form online or request an absentee ballot form from another state.
An e-mail with this information has been sent to all Princeton students. Those with questions about registering to vote in the upcoming election should call the Office of Community and State Affairs at (609) 258-5656 or e-mail Helen Thigpen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
