Atelier events scheduled, March 25-May 6

The Atelier program, which brings guest artists from various media to campus for collaborative courses with Princeton faculty and students, will present four events this spring. All of the following events are free and open to the public:

  • "The Same Sea," a play by Dutch director and playwright Paul Binnerts based on a novel by Amos Oz, will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27, at the Berlind Theatre. An open rehearsal also will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25. The play will feature performances by Princeton students and music by Paul Lansky, the William Shubael Conant Professor of Music.
  • Euripides' "Trojan Women," featuring a student ensemble in collaboration with actress Maria Tucci and dancer Allegra Kent, is set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall. Free tickets must be picked up prior to the performance. For more information, contact the Richardson box office at (609) 258-5000.
  • A digital arts exhibition, "Against the Wall: The Question of Landscape in the 21st Century," will open with a reception at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, in the 100-level lounge of the Frist Campus Center. Painter Nancy Manter and film director Ben Shedd will collaborate with students on the exhibition.
  • "Slide," which features students in various performances, is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, in the Matthews Acting Studio, 185 Nassau St. The performance is led by Professor of Music Steve Mackey and performance artist Rinde Eckert.
