Members of the University community unwound at massage tables, watched martial arts demonstrations and learned how to improve their golf game all under one roof as part of Princeton's FitFest 2005 health expo.

FitFest, which is intended to become an annual event, brought together a wide variety of fitness and wellness activities in Dillon Gymnasium on Thursday, March 3.

FitFest featured interactive experiences, demonstrations, free classes, mini-lectures, workshops and a campus walk and fun run. The range of activities included: bodybuilding, nutrition and breast cancer awareness lectures; boxing, hip-hop dancing and yoga classes; and belly dancing, tai chi and kayaking rodeo demonstrations.

The event was coordinated by the Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation and co-sponsored by the offices of the vice president for campus life and human resources and the Frist Campus Center. Other participating campus groups included: dining services; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender student services; the risk management and ombuds offices; and University Health Services.
