Drama troupe offers preview of fall show, May 6

Black Arts Company: Drama will present excerpts from its upcoming production of "The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World" at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in the Frist Campus Center theater.

"Death of the Last Black Man," written by Suzan-Lori Parks, is a supernatural play featuring song, dance and spoken word performances. The student troupe's full production is scheduled for fall 2006.

The performance will be directed by Kemati Porter, a producing associate at McCarter Theatre; choreographed by Dyane Harvey, a lecturer in the Council of the Humanities and the Program in Theater and Dance; and produced by sophomore Roger Q. Mason, artistic director of Black Arts Company: Drama.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. They can be obtained at the Frist ticket office, (609) 258-1742.
