"The East-West Pendulum," a lecture that will examine the development of capital markets in the Asia-Pacific region, is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in 16 Robertson Hall.
The lecture will be delivered by Robert Lloyd George, chairman and chief executive officer of Lloyd George Management, an investment firm specializing in Asia and other emerging markets. The lecture shares the title of a book by Lloyd George, who will discuss his experience in Asia and how a changing global economy has affected public policy in and toward the region.
Lloyd George founded his investment firm in 1991 after seven years as managing director of Indosuez Asia Investment Services in Hong Kong.
The lecture is the first in a planned series sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Princeton Outreach Program in Engineering, Economics, Education and Public Affairs. Lloyd George's talk also is sponsored by the Bendheim Center for Finance.
