Indian dance troupe to perform, March 1-3

Naacho, Princeton's Indian dance troupe, will premiere its new season with performances Thursday through Saturday, March 1-3, at the Frist Campus Center theater. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday.
The group will unveil 10 new dances displaying an array of traditional and fusion styles from India, including Bollywood, folk, garba/raas, bhangra and classical forms.
Naacho was founded in 1999 and is devoted to the expressive art of Indian dance. It seeks to promote South Asian culture through dance, as well as through participating in service projects that benefit the South Asian community.
Co-sponsors of the event include the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, the Committee for South Asian Studies and the Office of Religious Life.
