Jordan's King Abdullah to speak

King Abdullah II, the reigning monarch of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, will deliver a policy address at Princeton University at noon Friday, Feb. 29, sponsored by Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. The event will take place in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall, and is free and open to the public.

King Abdullah will address the future of Arab-American relations in the context of the Middle East's current challenges, particularly how to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which Jordan views as the most significant issue facing the region.

Tickets for the event are available to members of the University community on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon Tuesday, Feb. 19, and continuing while supplies last through Wednesday, Feb. 27, during normal business hours at the Frist Campus Center Ticket Office. A Princeton University ID is required to receive a ticket, and up to two tickets will be allotted per PUID.

Tickets also will be available to members of the public at the Richardson box office from noon to 2 p.m. on Feb. 27 until supplies last. Two tickets will be allotted per person, and all individuals must bring a photo ID to receive a ticket.

All ticket holders also will be required to bring their photo ID to gain entry to the event. For security reasons, no umbrellas, cameras or backpacks will be allowed inside the venue.

The Woodrow Wilson School will host a live video simulcast of the event in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall; the simulcast is open to the general public and does not require a ticket. This event also will be webcast live.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver a policy address at 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 20, in McCosh Hall, Room 50, on the Princeton University campus. The talk is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entry. The address is sponsored by Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and Center for Economic Policy Studies.

Annan to give parting policy address, Nov. 28 .

United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan will deliver a major policy address Tuesday, Nov. 28, hosted by Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. As part of the event, undergraduate students plan to present Annan with the Crystal Tiger award for serving as an "agent of progress."  

New Fed Chair Bernanke to speak at conference, Feb. 24 .

Newly appointed Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will deliver a public address at Princeton University at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in Alexander Hall’s Richardson Auditorium. Bernanke’s speech, which is co-sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the University’s Center for Economic Policy Studies, will be his first public address outside the capital since being confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke to give lecture Sept. 24--UPDATED .

Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke will give a public lecture at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in Alexander Hall's Richardson Auditorium on the Princeton University campus. The event is free, but tickets are required for entry. UPDATE: Advance tickets are no longer available following the first two days of ticket distribution. There will be open admission for any unfilled seats shortly before the event begins on Sept. 24. Individuals without tickets who wish to attend the lecture are encouraged to wait in line outside Richardson Auditorium beginning at 3:30 p.m.
