The Women's Center of Princeton University will host a screening of the documentary "The Business of Being Born" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in 101 McCormick Hall.

The documentary examines childbirth in the United States and weaves personal stories of birth with historical, political and scientific insights into the maternity care system. The film was produced by actress and former talk show host Ricki Lake.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Stacey Rees, a midwife with Clementine Midwifery in New York and a 1995 Princeton graduate alumna, and Carolyn Havens Niemann, a midwife with Princeton Midwifery Care and a 1989 Princeton alumna. (Abby Epstein, the film's director, is now unable to attend.)
