Gilson honored for language instruction

Erika Gilson, a senior lecturer in Near Eastern studies at Princeton, has received the Walton Award from the National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages for her contributions to the field of language instruction.

Gilson is an instructor of Turkish who joined the Princeton faculty in 1989. She is a founding member of the American Association of Teachers of Turkic Languages and the National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages.
