Aït-Sahalia named fellow of American Statistical Association

Yacine Aït-Sahalia, Princeton's Otto A. Hack 1903 Professor of Finance and Economics and director of the Bendheim Center for Finance, has been named a fellow of the American Statistical Association.

He is one of 53 new fellows selected by the association in honor of their outstanding professional contributions to and leadership in the field of statistical science.

Aït-Sahalia has been a faculty member at Princeton since 1998. He is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the Econometric Society as well as a research associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research.

The American Statistical Association, a scientific and educational society founded in Boston in 1839, is the second-oldest continuously operating professional society in the United States. It has 18,000 members serving in academia, government and industry.
