Forum will discuss peace in the Middle East

Palestinian peace activist Aziz Abu Sarah will lead a discussion titled "Peace in the Middle East Begins in Palestine/Israel" at 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, in 302 Frist Campus Center.
Sarah will present options for establishing peace in the Middle East and lead a question and answer session. The forum is sponsored by the Century One student Bible discussion group.
Born a Palestinian Muslim in Israel, Sarah is the Palestinian chairman for The Parents Circle – Families Forum, a grassroots organization that unites Palestinian and Israeli families who have lost a loved one as part of the Arab-Israeli conflict. His efforts to promote reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis have been recognized with the European Parliament's Silver Rose Award, the Victor J. Goldberg Prize for Peace in the Middle East from the Institute of International Education and the Eisenhower Medallion from People to People International.
Sarah is currently a senior research associate at the Center for World Religions, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University.
The event is part of a weekend forum on peace in the Middle East co-sponsored by the Princeton Church of Christ. Related forums are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18 and 10 a.m. Sunday, April 19, at the Princeton Church of Christ, 33 River Road.
