Kotkin to discuss fall of the Berlin Wall

Princeton historian and international affairs scholar Stephen Kotkin will discuss his new book on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
Kotkin is the Rosengarten Professor of Modern and Contemporary History and has a joint appointment in the Department of History and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He will sign copies of his new book, titled "Uncivil Society: 1989 and the Implosion of the Communist Establishment," after the talk.
Kotkin's research interests include authoritarianism, geopolitics, global political economy, empire and modernism in the arts and politics. He currently is writing a book on dictatorship and power titled "Stalin's World."
