Lieberthal to speak on U.S.-China relations, climate change

"U.S.-China Relations and the Issue of Climate Change" is the subject of a lecture by former Clinton administration official Kenneth Lieberthal at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.

Lieberthal is the director of John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution and is a senior fellow in foreign policy and global economy and development at the think tank. He served as special assistant to President Bill Clinton for national security affairs and senior director for Asia on the National Security Council from 1998 to 2000. He also is a professor of business administration and political science at the University of Michigan.

The event is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the China and the World Program.
