Jazz concert to feature works of Mossman

The Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble, directed by Anthony D.J. Branker, will present a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.

The Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble, directed by Anthony D.J. Branker, will present a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.

The event is titled "The Voice of the Jazz Composer: The Latin Influenced Music of Michael Philip Mossman" and will feature his works.
Mossman has performed and recorded with his own groups and with bands led by a virtual who's who of the music industry. He currently is lead trumpeter with Jazz at Lincoln Center's Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra.
Mossman's solo album, "The Orisha Suite," was nominated for a Latin Grammy. He also is featured as lead trumpet and arranger on the Grammy-nominated album, "Una Noche Inolvidable" by the Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. His earlier releases were "Mama Soho" and "Springdance." Both feature Mossman's work as composer/arranger in Afro-Cuban and Brazilian jazz.
Tickets are $5 for students and $15 for others. They are available at the Richardson Auditorium box office or online through University Ticketing.
