Name: Kathleen "Kate" Braunstein

Position: Budget analyst in the budget office in the Office of Finance and Treasury. Serving as the main contact for more than 100 academic and administrative departments' budget needs, and calculating and distributing their budgets. Working on the Chart of Accounts mapping and Reporting Advisory Committee for Princeton Prime, the University's new financial management infrastructure system launching in July 2014.

Quote: "I came from a corporate environment, and I find the University environment so much more laid back and relaxing. It's a collaborative effort, and we're all trying to get things done. It's much more family friendly. The part I like most about my job is that I interact with people all across the University — in academic departments, in administration and in the finance office. It's an exciting time to work in the finance office. Prime will make the life of everyone involved in financial managing so much easier."

Other interests: Reading and exercising, including training for a three-day, 60-mile fundraising walk this fall. Planning trips to relax with family and friends. Spending time with her husband, two sons and new puppy, and going to her sons' activities — baseball, soccer and karate.
