Yu to speak on the Cantonese Pacific

The inaugural lecture series "Asian American Studies Today and Tomorrow" will continue with a talk by Henry Yu, "The Cantonese Pacific: Migration, Historiography and Unsettling Settler Societies," at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Robertson Hall, Room 002. Yu is an associate professor of history at St. John's College, University of British Columbia. The series is organized by Anne Cheng, professor of English and African American studies, and Hendrik Hartog, the Class of 1921 Bicentennial Professor in the History of American Law and Liberty and director of the Program in American Studies.
