FACULTY HONOR: Kolemen receives DOE early career research grant

Egemen Kolemen, an assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, was among 49 scientists nationwide to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Early Career Research program. Kolemen, who also is associated with the DOE's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, had his project, "Physics-Based Real-time Analysis and Control to Achieve Transient-Free Operations for the ITER Era," selected by the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences. The award program provides university-based researchers with up to $150,000 per year for five years to cover research expenses.
