'Conversations on Love' will host series of discussions, events
The student-run series "Conversations on Love" will feature a range of events during the month of February. A full listing is available on the "Conversations on Love" Facebook page. Highlights include:
Monday, Feb. 20, at 4:30 p.m., in Frist Campus Center, Room 302. Dr. Helen Fisher, neuroscientist and author, will give a talk on the science of love.
CANCELED FOR TODAY: Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 4:30 p.m., in McCosh Hall, Room 10. Professors Cornel West and Robert George will discuss their friendship, which transcends ideological differences.
Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 9 p.m., in Murray Dodge café. Members of Ellipses Slam Poetry and Songline Slam Poetry will perform at a poetry coffeehouse.
Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 4:30 p.m. in Betts Auditorium, School of Architecture. Philosophers Alexander Nehemas and Benjamin Morison will discuss Aristotle and Plato on the subject of love.
Thursday, Feb. 23, at 4:30 p.m. in Whig Hall Senate Chamber. Office of Religious Life chaplains of various religious faiths will discuss the theology of love in their respective religious traditions.
Friday, Feb. 24, at 4:30 p.m., at Campus Club. A bubble tea and "speed friending" gathering will be held.
