University launches fully functional TV studio

A fully functional broadcast-quality television studio is now operational on Princeton's campus, allowing major television networks, local TV stations and Web broadcasters to conduct remote live or pre-recorded interviews with academic experts and others at the University.

Princeton has worked with the Massachusetts-based firm VideoLink, a provider of broadcast and transmission services, to install and operate the "ReadyCam" studio.

The TV studio is located at 032 Robertson Hall. The facilities department in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs will maintain, operate and provide access to the studio, and the school's external affairs department will manage reservation requests.

University faculty, administrators and others who would like to reserve the studio to conduct interviews with broadcast media should e-mail tvstudio@princeton.edu or call (609) 356-8502. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Early morning or late evening requests should be made as far in advance as possible to help ensure access to the studio.

Media representatives who wish to contact Princeton academic experts for interviews should call the University's Office of Communications at (609) 258-3601, or visit the Princeton Web site to search for faculty information online. For requests related specifically to faculty experts appointed to the University's Woodrow Wilson School, media representatives should contact the school's external affairs department at (609) 731-5094. A Woodrow Wilson School guide to topic experts is also available online in pdf format.
