Amy Campbell, who has been an administrator in campus life and athletics at Princeton University for a total of 17 years, has been named executive director of campus services and planning for University Services. Her appointment is effective April 1.

Reporting to Vice President for University Services Chad Klaus, Campbell will direct University Services' transition to a new integrated services model as well as oversee this approach across units within University Services. In addition, she will manage new University Services initiatives and collaborate with offices across campus to enhance the delivery of a broad spectrum of daily services for faculty, staff and students.

"I am very excited to have Amy join the University Services leadership team. Her exceptional understanding of the Princeton culture coupled with her commitment to serving our campus community made her a clear choice for this important role," Klaus said.

The executive director of campus service and planning, which is a new position within University Services, will be responsible for developing and managing strong relationships across campus with students, as well as with academic and administrative offices.

"I envision Amy's role as a partner with various University offices to ensure our services are meeting and exceeding their needs. One of the big undertakings will be to help University Services rethink the model for how our community interacts with and receives services — both physically and virtually," Klaus said.

Campbell, who currently serves as executive director for administration and planning in the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life, said the position is an exciting opportunity.

"I'm looking forward to helping devise successful strategies to facilitate initiatives that will advance the goals to create an integrated University Services model that supports constituents across campus," she said. "I have had the good fortune to work for and with wonderful colleagues in the Department of Athletics and more recently in the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life. While it isn't easy to leave the work of campus life, I'm glad to be able to serve Princeton in new ways."

In her new role, Campbell also will: identify areas of operational improvement within the campus services portfolio; monitor and evaluate the satisfaction of services delivered by University Services units; and supervise the marketing and communications team for University Services.

University Services has oversight of the offices of Conference and Event Services; Contract Management and Trademark Licensing; Dining Services; Frist Campus Center; Housing and Real Estate Services; Print and Mail Services; Richardson Auditorium; Transportation and Parking; University Scheduling; and Business, Marketing and Communications for University Services, including TigerCard and University Ticketing.

Campbell has more than 35 years of experience working in education. Since 2006, she has helped lead a number of initiatives to enhance student life and campus culture within the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life, including serving as co-chair of the Alcohol Coalition Committee. From 1988 to 1999, Campbell worked in the Department of Athletics, ultimately serving as senior associate director of athletics for intercollegiate and non-intercollegiate sports.

Her experience also includes serving as director of athletics and physical education, as well as a senior lecturer, at Bryn Mawr College. She also worked in various athletic administrative and coaching positions at Boston University, Connecticut College, Hathaway Brown School in Ohio and Milton Academy in Massachusetts.

A graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, Campbell has a master's in education from Boston University.
