Video feature: 'The Pleasure of Learning'

Pleasure of Learning index

The pleasure of learning is a key ingredient to life at Princeton University. Opportunities abound for students to engage academically with professors and each other, and in a variety of places on campus. As a liberal arts institution, Princeton University supports research and teaching across a broad range of disciplines both for the good of society and for its community members' personal and intellectual growth.

"Learning, discovery and understanding are valuable not only instrumentally but also for their own sake, as sources of the joy and fulfillment that make a human life worth living," Princeton President Christopher L. Eisgruber said in a speech at his installation in September.

As seen in this video, whether it is the joy of engaging with a professor, being deeply immersed in a book or having a casual study session with friends, the pleasure of learning is experienced in a variety of ways around Princeton's campus.
