UPDATED: Outage of campus computing systems planned for Aug. 5
A wide range of University computing systems will be unavailable on Saturday, Aug. 5. The outage will run from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will allow the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Facilities to upgrade crucial equipment and conduct preventive maintenance.
The outage will affect most of the University’s business and administrative systems — including PeopleSoft, Princeton Prime and the Princeton Information Warehouse — and many other IT services and applications.
Critical life-safety applications, internet access, email, voice calling, voicemail and Research Computing/PICSciE systems will not be affected. The University’s main website will not be affected, but other websites may not be available.
The outage is planned at a time of low demand for campus computing systems. See the SN@P portal for outage information or call the OIT Support and Operations Center at 609-258-HELP. An all-campus email will be sent when the systems are back online.
