Graduate Fellowships and Awards

PEI provides opportunities for graduate students to broaden their perspective beyond their core expertise and to tackle timely environmental challenges across traditional disciplinary boundaries. Students are invited to become active members of a vibrant community of researchers with shared interest in the environment.

PEI-STEP Environmental Policy Fellowship Program

The central component of the PEI graduate program is the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Program (PEI-STEP). This two-year program enables participating graduate students to add an environmental policy dimension to their disciplinary research. more >>

Princeton Energy and Climate Scholars (PECS) Program

PECS is a select group of Princeton Ph.D. degree candidate students with research interests in climate science, energy technology and environmental policy. Through PECS, students from across the university deepen their understanding of the larger context of their research on environmental problems. Walbridge Fund Graduate Award

PEI's Walbridge Fund Graduate Award provides research funding to one or more Princeton University graduate students pursuing innovative research on climate change, climate policy, energy, or related topics. Projects involving a broad range of disciplines — including climate science, engineering, and environmental policy — will be considered for support. more >>

Mary and Randall Hack '69 Graduate Award

The Mary and Randall Hack '69 Award provides research funding to support Princeton University graduate students pursuing innovative research on water and water-related topics with implications for the environment. more >>
