Prospect House is a private club for all faculty and staff of Princeton University and their guests.
Membership to Prospect House is automatic on your first day of work and includes all faculty,
administration and all employees of Princeton University. Your Princeton University employee
identification card entitles you to membership.

Founded on August 20, 1969, the Prospect Association was created to foster social and
intellectual interchange among members of Princeton University’s academic and support
staffs. The Association is governed by a managing board elected from its membership.

In addition to being a member of Prospect House you are automatically a member of the ACUC.

What is the ACUC?
The Association of College and University Clubs (ACUC) is an organization of more than
100 campus-based clubs located in North America, Australia and the United Kingdom. The
Association was founded in 1978 and is dedicated to providing its member institutions with a
vehicle for improving communications between academics and all others involved in the process
of higher education.

Member Clubs of the Association recognize and honor a reciprocal agreement, which allows
individual members of a faculty club to visit any of the other Clubs within the Association. The
reciprocal agreement encourages fellowship among the various universities and enhances
the lines of communication between the associated Clubs and their individual members.

Any member in good standing of an ACUC Faculty Club may visit other faculty clubs that belong
to the Association. Each club may issue the ACUC Reciprocal Membership Card to members in
good standing, along with a brochure listing the participating Clubs. Have your individual club's
membership number ready when you call to make reservations.

Each faculty club in the Association is a unique reflection of the university community it serves.
The facilities and services available, as well as hours of operation, are quite different in each
Club. To insure an enjoyable visit to another club it is important to telephone ahead whenever
possible to find out when the Club is open and what services are offered to a visiting member.
Often the manager of a Club can assist members in arranging a visit to another Club by calling
in advance. Individual Clubs may have restrictions in the use of their facilities, or in the
frequency of visits, which should be respected. Please check with the Club Manager
regarding reciprocal privileges at another club. For more information on the ACUC please visit
their website.
