Mills is a town in Natrona County, Wyoming, United States. It is part of the Casper, Wyoming Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,591 at the 2000 census.



Mills is located at 42°50′49″N 106°22′43″W / 42.846815°N 106.378658°W / 42.846815; -106.378658 (42.846815, -106.378658).[4]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.4 km2), of which, 1.7 square miles (4.3 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2) of it (1.78%) is water.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,591 people, 1,161 households, and 700 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,555.4 people per square mile (599.0/km2). There were 1,272 housing units at an average density of 763.6/sq mi (294.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 93.98% White, 0.46% African American, 1.51% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.93% from other races, and 1.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.94% of the population.

There were 1,161 households out of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.2% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.7% were non-families. 31.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.75.
