Richmond Heights is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 10,944 at the 2000 census.



Richmond Heights is located at 41°33′29″N 81°30′13″W / 41.55806°N 81.50361°W / 41.55806; -81.50361 (41.558183, -81.503651)[3]. Richmond Heights borders Euclid on the west, Lyndhurst and South Euclid on the south, Highland Heights on the east, and Willoughby Hills to the north.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.4 square miles (11.3 km²), of which, 4.4 square miles (11.3 km²) of it is land and 0.23% is water.


As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 10,944 people, 4,864 households, and 2,971 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,504.4 people per square mile (966.9/km²). There were 5,060 housing units at an average density of 1,157.9/sq mi (447.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 68.98% White, 23.87% African American, 0.05% Native American, 4.74% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.65% from other races, and 1.67% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.58% of the population. There is also a substantial Armenian community in Richmond Heights centered on the St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Apostolic Church.
