Sandusky is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 2,745 with an estimate of 2,685 in 2006.[3] It is the county seat of Sanilac County[4].

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,745 people, 1,081 households, and 649 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,446.3 per square mile (557.8/km²). There were 1,168 housing units at an average density of 615.4/sq mi (237.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.12% White, 0.87% African American, 0.15% Native American, 1.75% Asian, 1.35% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.42% of the population.
