Wilson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2000, its population was 32,408. Its county seat is Floresville[1]. The county is named after James Charles Wilson.

The Connallys -- John Connally, a Texas governor and U.S. Secretary of the Navy and U.S. Treasury Secretary; Wayne Connally, a member of both houses of the Texas State Legislature, and Merrill Connally, an actor and a county judge -- were all born and reared in Wilson County.

Wilson County is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.
