The planar nanostar pattern was made with electron-beam lithography. While plasma etching the underlying Silicon layer, these planar metal ( nickel and tin) nano star patterns folded to form 3D nanogripper structure. The size of the folded 3D nanogripper is about 300 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.
