Computer Coaching Clinic
A new way to learn

A twice weekly drop-in program for all library staff (release time given to support staff) sponsored as a pilot by Public Services and Collection Development (PSCD), Library Human Resources, and LETC with technical experts Audrey Wright, Rhoda Kesselman, and Shelley Szwast .

Clinics will take place every Friday in the
Firestone E-classroom 2-6-F

9:00-11:00 am - individual consultations with Audrey Wright or Shelley Szwast
11:00 am-12:00 pm every 2nd week- Tech talk followed by hands-on practice

Come drop in to practice your skills, use online tutorials, and get some one-on-one instruction and assistance with your projects. Our in-house experts can help with such topics as creating and maintaining web pages, Outlook email, searching the Web, searching the OPAC, Word, Excel, and many others. We welcome you to come at any time during the session.

Drop in hours will begin at 9:00 am and last till 11:00. On Fridays from 11:00-noon Audrey Wright, Shelley Szwast, or Rhoda Kesselman will give a short presentation on a specific topic, such as storing and finding files, using ftp, introduction to UNIX, tweaking computer images, avoiding infection, etc. Topics and additional presenters will be announced each week on NjP-l and on the Computer Coaching Clinic web page. After the tech talk you will have time to practice what you learned in the presentation, use online tutorials, or get some one-on-one instruction and assistance with your individual projects.
