Nizette comes from the tiny, but beautiful twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. When she was 5, her mother was concerned about her lack of natural rhythm, and so enrolled her in the Caribbean School of Dance. There, she studied ballet and modern, did lots of impressive vocational dancing stuff, and became a dancer at the Metamorphosis Dance Company. Through this dynamic dance group, she was introduced to various styles of dance, performing an assortment of African-influenced dances, classical and contemporary Indian dances, traditional Trinidad folk dances, Modern, Jazz, Latin dancing and Hip Hop. Well, her mother's foresight paid off, and Nizette is currently and happily a member of eXpressions Dance Company. Yet, she still loves trying new styles of dance: in her freshman year, she began tap dancing, ballroom dancing and African dancing. In her free time, she studies Chemical Engineering, eats and sleeps, and counts down the hours til her next eXpressions rehearsal!
