Dialog Control

Dialog with the program is normally conducted via the keyboard. The user will be asked a question and prompted for a reply. Most questions display a list of options followed by the default option in brackets. Where the default is required the user may simply hit the return key or type the default answer. The program may be aborted at any time by entering a '/' character at any of the prompts.

As has previously been noted, the presence of a file named 'IOSTRT' will switch the program into batch mode. The program may also be switched into batch mode by typing '@filename' at any of the prompts. This will instruct the program to read further data from the named file and can be useful for customising the program defaults. The presence of a single '@' character in the file will transfer control back to the keyboard.
