Reserved Entity Names

The interface groups all elements into property groups and assigns a name to the property set beginning with 'PHY' and ending in a number e.g. 'PHY1' for the first property set etc.

Similar rules apply to local axis system names, variable node solids, spring elements, etc. The user should thus avoid using any such names during the modelling process. The reserved names are as follows (where 'n' is an integer 1-99999):

The interface program will issue a warning if the user has generated any entities in FEMGEN which fall into any of the above categories. It is then up to the user to decide whether to make any changes in order to avoid possible set name conflicts in the ABAQUS input file

The following set names can be used in FEMGEN but have a special meaning to the interface, (where 'n' is an integer 0-9, and * can be any printable character):

The interface program will issue a warning if sets begining with 'RS' or 'SL' do not follow the above conventions.
