Hughes-Liu Beam Properties

The property values for Hughes-Liu beams are defined as follows:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL BEAM-PRP [property_name] t¹_y t²_y t¹_z t²_z NSLOC NTLOC SHRF IRID CST

Where:

t¹_y = Thickness in local y direction at node 1

t²_y = Thickness in local y direction at node 2

t¹_z = Thickness in local z direction at node 1

t²_z = Thickness in local z direction at node 2

NSLOC = Location of reference surface normal to s axis (optional, default is 0)

NTLOC = Location of reference surface normal to t axis (optional, default is 0)

SHRF = Shear factor (optional, default is 1)

IRID = Integration rule (optional, default is 2)

CST = Cross section type (optional, default is 0)

This data may be supplemented by a beam orientation definition via the command:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL BEAM-PRP [property_name] ORIENT X Y Z

in which the user specifies the direction of the beam local z axis.
