Load Curves defined by FEMGEN Time Curves

The FEMGEN command CONSTRUCT TCURVE [TimeCurve_name] allows the user to define Time Curves as a list of time, amplitude pairs or via a function (e.g. sine, exponential decay etc.). Time Curves are then attached to loads by using the FEMGEN command PROPERTY ATTACH. Refer to the FEMGV4 Users Manual for further details. The interface program translates this information as load curve cards in the DYNA3D input file.

The name of the time curve is used to define the type of analysis to which the load curve is to be applied to. The only recognised names are as follows (where * can be any character):

If a time curve with a different name is defined then the Interface Program will issue a warning message.

The interface will create a flat, unit load curve (termination time 1.0 seconds) where a load has been defined and there is no time curve attached. The interface issues a warning when this happens.

Example FEMGEN Command:

CONSTRUCT TCURVE TRC1 RAMP .1 1
PROPERTY ATTACH LO3 TRC1
