Preface

This manual is a User Guide to version 3.0 of the FEMGEN to DYNA3D Interface Program. The software described in this manual is compatible with FEMGV versions 4 and above and can be configured for use with either the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) or Ove Arup/LSTC (OASYS) version of DYNA3D (both keyword and fixed formats). The interface program is incorporated within FEMGEN and when the DYNA3D environment is selected some of the FEMGEN menus will be altered in order to allow access to DYNA3D data types.

This new release of FEMGV with the DYNA3D interface incorporates the following new features:

• Support the keyword format.
• Definition of node sets for the keyword format only.
