The interface program has been designed to produce complete DYNA3D input file for the more common model and analysis types. There are a large number of optional 'switches' in DYNA3D which the interface sets to (hopefully) sensible values and which the user can then change manually in the input file if desired.
The input file is annotated with labels and column markers to aid editing. The following extract from an input file generated by the interface illustrates this.
