This training manual aims to take the user through a series of exercises with FEMGV for pre and post processing of finite element models.

As the user progresses through the manual the number of detailed menu commands reduces allowing the user to exercise the knowledge that is gained.

The convention is used that commands items are to be entered by the user either by making menu selections or by direct entry from the keyboard.

Most sections include a history file for the task being performed, which is provided as a means of reference for the user. These files are available in the `demo' directory of a standard FEMGV installation; users should note however that they are specific to the finite element solver FEMSOL-II.
