On most computers filenames may be either in upper or lower case. The default will depend on the particular installation.

femsys.ini (ascii)

This is a FEMGV Resource file. It is used to customise the program and may be edited whilst the program is running. All resources are commented out, just activate those you wish to use.

Resources covered are for FEMGEN, ABAQUS, ANSYS, ASAS, DYNA3D, NASTRAN, fonts and plotting.

fgvkey.k60 (ascii)

This is the security keyfile used by FEMGV and controls which interfaces are licensed for use and when the licence expires. If the keyfile is not in the current working directory then an environment variable must be defined so that the keyfile location is specifically defined.

fgvstr.str (ascii)

This is referred to as the startup file and it may be created by the user. If it exists then any INDEX level commands that it contains will automatically be executed each time that FEMGV is started.

fgvcmap.str (ascii)

This is referred to as the colourmap file, it also may be created by the user. If it exist then the user's selection of colours will be used automatically.

fgvsyn.syn (ascii)

This is referred to as the synonym file and contains short cuts; if found when FEMGV starts synonyms will be activated. If it has been created by the user then the user's selection of synonyms will be used as soon as synonyms are switched on with

UTILITY SETUP SYNONYM ON.
