The set of NT monitoring collections can be divided into three categories:
-
Core NT resource monitoring collections, which allow you to monitor NT
objects that are installed on all NT servers and clients.
-
Network protocol monitoring collections, which allow you to monitor the
availability and use of standard network protocols, such as TCP/IP, and
those defined by Novell and Microsoft.
-
Network resource monitoring collections, which allow you to monitor the
NT objects necessary to use network protocols.
Each of the collections in these catagories contains a number of specific monitors. For details on
the individual monitors, see the Distributed Monitoring Collection Reference.
