Eleftheria Arapoglou received her B.A. in English from Aristotle University in 1995. She completed her M.A. with honors as a Fulbright grantee at The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1998. Her doctoral dissertation received a high distinction and she was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2005 by the School of English at Aristotle University, where she is currently teaching the “Introduction to Poetry” and “Introduction to Research Skills and Computer Literacy” courses. In May 2003, she received a Quarry Farm Fellowship from The Center of Mark Twain Studies at Elmira College in New York, where she conducted research on Mark Twain’s The Innocents Abroad. In July 2004, she was awarded a Transatlantic Grant by the European Association of American Studies and conducted research on Henry James’s The American Scene at The University of Pennsylvania. She has presented several papers at international conferences, some of which appear at conference proceedings, in The Journal of Modern Hellenism, and in MELUS. Her research interests include the cultural production of space in the modernist tradition, literary sociology, and cultural studies.
