Load Cell

The load cell is attached to the fixed Cross-head of the
8501. The Cross-head position may be adjusted to accept
different Grips and Sample lengths, but is locked in position
before testing starts. A safety ring below the cross-head
should also be fixed in place before testing begins.

This type of load cell can be used in both tension and
compression measurements. Its frequency response to
load change is good, and it may be used for dynamic
measurements such as those encountered in cyclic
Fatigue studies.
