In this diagram the soft key for "frequency"
is being selected. Entry from the keypad
or the rotary control is then enabled so that
the waveform frequency can be changed.

In this mode, the other soft keys permit the
type of loading (cyclic or ramp) to be chosen,
the waveform or ramp type to be specified,
and ramp or waveform amplitudes to be
selected.

Similar waveform settings are selectable from
position or strain control and are employed
when these parameters are used to control
the deformation history of the sample under
test.
