Freon Temperature

The freon temperature is measured in four locations with the following designations:

T₁ is at the output of the evaporating tank on the low pressure side of the compressor.

T₂ is at the output of the compressor on its high pressure side. This is the input temperature of the freon into the condensing tank heat exchanger.

T₃ is the freon temperature at the output side of the condensing tank. In this location the freon is a single phase liquid at high pressure.

T₄ is the temperature of the two-phase liquid-gas freon mixture just after the expansion valve. This is the input temperature of the freon in the evaporating tank.
