Thermistor

The thermistor thermometer is located in one of the oxygen supply channels in the separator plates of the fuel cell stack. It is used to measure the local temperature in the cell. A thermistor is used because it has a large resistance change with change in temperature (an exponential change). This resistance behavior makes the sensitivity of the thermistor high but restricts the temperature range over which it can operate.
