Inlet Valve

The inlet valve opens at the begining of the inlet stroke of the engine and admits air-fuel mixture to the cylinder. This valve closes at about Bottom Dead Center (BDC) in the inlet stroke. The valve remains closed during the compression and exhaust strokes of the engine.
