Digital Voltmeter

The digital voltmeter permits the thermocouple voltage to be measured. Conversion tables will permit the thermocouple temperature to be determined in degrees Celsius.
The range switch on the voltmeter should be set in the millivolt region as this is the expected thermocouple output voltage when an ice reference junction is employed.
If the voltage is too large for the scale selected the display will be blank. If this occurs, select a higher range.
