Safety Valve

The Safety Valve prevents the build-up of a dangerous over-pressure in the pressure cooker. If this situation occurs, the rubber plug is blown out of the lid and relieves the pressure. This is also a dangerous situation, but less so than the explosion of the cooker body.

Take care that at least 100 ml of water is in the cooker before the experiment is started.
