Air Cooling Gauge, Air Requirements Graph, & Air Flow Valve

This gauge indicates the condition of the air supply that cools the Generator and the resistors in the Dynamometer case. It also provides cooling air for the transparent Engine. The valve should be set to obtain a value of 15 for most normal operation of the system. A graph below the gauge indicates settings for the air supply based on the steady state current in the generator. These values should be used if they are above 15.

The Air flow control valve is on the left hand side of the Engine. The Air flow Must be started before starting the engine and should be turned off at the end of a sequence of measurement runs.
